A Shaky Start in the Game of Life

(Jan.11, 2019)

The 2019 College Football National Championship game on Monday night was exciting! Clemson lost the coin toss and got off to a shaky start.

Trevor Lawrence, the 6-foot-6, 210-pound true freshman quarterback made several unimpressive incomplete passes – as the game started.

Clemson was quickly sent to the sidelines as the powerful Alabama offensive machine took the field.

The Alabama Crimson Tide began to roll in their first two plays. Tua and team seemed invincible.

Until … Clemson safety A.J. Terrell stepped in from of a pass and sprinted 44 yards for a Tigers touchdown.

Trevor Lawrence went on to pass for 347 yards. It ended as a 44-16 upset victory for the Clemson Tigers.

Dabo Swinney, the Crimson coach, gave glory to his Lord Jesus in his post-game interview.

Now let’s talk about the Game of Life for a moment.

A shaky start doesn’t define your entire life.

A shaky start doesn’t determine your finish.

A shaky start doesn’t decide who you become in life!

Maybe you were not born into a rich & powerful family.

Maybe life slapped you around early on.

Maybe you were from the “other side of the tracks.”

Maybe you “messed up” early in life.

Maybe your first job was a failure.

Maybe there are a lot of “woulda, coulda, and shouda’s in your life.

That was then, this is now!

With God, your future is more important than your past!
